We purchased this crate unknowingly that it as actually a Military crate, used for the transportation of blood. It has two red crosses on the front and back of the carte with some interesting writing," R N Blood Transfusion Service London NW1"

It was painted white and had a black painted address on the front, which we carefully removed to reveal what is written. The crate has been waxed and is now ready for use in the home.

A nice piece of original history.
