Gothic Pine Church Cupboard

This is an antique pitch pine cupboard, reclaimed from an old church local to us, St Edwards church in Leek, staffordshire.

It is a gorgeous design, with lovely Gothic arches. It is a large characterful cupboard, a great storage piece.

It has seen many layers of paint over its time and been very ill treated, having had some bits brutally cut off!

We have managed to repair the areas of ware and we even found its original key trapped inside the shelving. We have removed some of the white paint to reveal the blue colours beneath, leaving a nice chippy paint effect. The inside has been sanded and waxed, so its lovely and fresh again. We have fitted some new plinths on the underside so it sits on the floor correctly, these can't be seen.

Please Note: The cupboard has had some woodworm within the shelving on the inside, but we have treated this as a precaution to ensure its no loner live.
